Who Is The Image Of God…

Who Is The Image Of God…

How many people have their own vision of Jesus Christ? Not what the European Renaissance painters told us what Jesus looks like, but our personal image of Jesus Christ. If a person doesn’t have their own image of Christ can there be a relationship with Him? All the atheist are laughing right now as they would say we are discussing an “imaginary friend”. Not sure how that’s a problem, but okay. When we were children our imagination was fuel for all kinds of great adventures, toys, games and other unadulterated fun on a scale that we, as adults, are, for some reason, no longer allowed to enjoy.

When we go to Jesus, which is how He has presented Himself to us, when we go before Him are we not seeing God made manifest? Are we not in the presence of the invisible God on High? Are we bowing before Him, in our filthy rags to praise Him, to draw nearer to Him and to seek His face?

If a person questions this, according to five different occasions, in four different Books within the Holy Bible, which is the inspired Word of God or God speaking, we are told that Jesus is God. Not that Jesus is kinda-sorta like God, but is in fact God made manifest on earth.

John 12:45-47 KJB
And he that sees Me sees Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on Me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

John 14:7-9 KJB
If you had known Me, you should have known My Father also: and from henceforth you know Him, and have seen Him.
Philip saith unto Him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it [is] sufficient [for] us. Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known Me, Philip? he that has seen Me has seen the Father; and how says you then, Shew us the Father?

II Corinthians 4:1-6 KJB
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:15-17 KJB
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

Hebrews 1:1-3 KJB
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

How is that all these different people, at different times, say basically, the same thing if it were not true? When we bring forth our image of Jesus Christ, we are, in fact, bringing forth the image of God – as He appointed in us – the image of Emmanuel, God with us. The image of Jesus Christ in our heart that only we can see. In our imagination, which God has created and breathes life, is the place where Jesus Christ lives.

If you don’t believe, that is your choice. Free will or God’s will, the choice is ours to make. No one is judging we are merely gathering together testimonies to support our belief in Jesus Christ, Emmanuel – God with us.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
